On November 16, 2019 Bank employees, with the sponsorship of “ARMSWISSBANK” CJSC and with the support of Tavush provinsial administration, planted about 550 trees, in particular royal oranges, apples, figs and nuts, in the area of 6,500 square meters near the secondary school of Sevkar community in Tavush region. At the suggestion of the provincial administration in Tavush, the fruit trees were selected according to the climatic conditions of the region.

Besides tree planting, works were carried out for the acquisition of necessary materials and fencing, cleaning, renovation of the area, as well as for the construction of the irrigation system too, all of which were financed by “ARMSWISSBANK” CJSC. Besides of the Bank employees, the staff of Tavush provincial administration, Sevkar municipality, the school, as well as residents and students of the community were actively involved in the establishment of the orchard.

The tree planting turned into a big festival, where the students performed patriotic songs, dances and poems.

“The establishment of the park has been our long expecting dream for many years, which were given to us very unexpectedly and in an exciting way by “ARMSWISSBANK”CJSC and Tavush provincial, for which I would like to thank the Chief Executive Director of the Bank Gevorg Machanyan and the Governor of Tavush region Hayk Chobanyan, as well as the entire staff of the Bank, the Municipality and the Regional Administration” said the director of secondary school Naira Tananyan.

The Implementation of the event was initiated by the Bank and the selection of the region was random and mainly due to the favorable climatic conditions for tree planting in this area. The initiative was planned for about 2-3 months, due to the 15th anniversary of the Bank's founding and as a result of effective cooperation between the Bank and the Tavush provincial adminitration, as a favorable area for the establishment of a fruit orchard was selected the area near to the secondary school of Sevkar community. Implementation of such activities by the Bank will be continuously.
